On September 24, 2026, the Institute for the Study of Human Rights hosted its annual fall social to mark the start of the academic year. ISHR welcomed students, faculty, and staff back to campus with drinks, food, and even a photo booth. ISHR Executive Director, Joseph Slaughter delivered the welcome remarks. ISHR is pleased to welcome new and returning human rights students to our M.A. and undergraduate programs. We are also thrilled to be joined by our new visiting scholars. As we look toward the institute's 50th anniversary in the 2027-28 academic year, we are excited to see our community grow and committed to working together to defend and promote human dignity.
